THE MIDWAY VETERANS OF NO RIGHT TO WIN:

CDR RICHARD C. EPPS, USNR-Retired

Left:  Epps in 1943.  Right: Epps in 2006, at the Battle of Midway commemoration in San Francisco.

Dick Epps joined the Roundtable after No Right to Win was published, but he became a frequent contributor from the outset.  He had served as a radioman aboard the Task Force 16 destroyer USS Aylwin (DD-355), and gave us many tales of life aboard a destroyer in the Midway era.  He is the author of Life On a Tin Can, which covers his experiences throughout the Pacific War.
