THE MIDWAY VETERANS OF NO RIGHT TO WIN:

RADM D. M. "MAC" SHOWERS, USN-Retired

Left:  Showers as a lieutenant in 1945.   Right:  Showers in 2004.

Mac Showers has been one of the Roundtable’s key participants from its earliest years.  As an ensign on the staff of Joseph Rochefort’s Combat Intelligence Unit at Pearl Harbor before and during the Battle of Midway, he is a living primary source of information concerning the renowned “Station Hypo” and its codebreaking achievements that placed the enemy’s battle plan in CINCPAC’s hands.  His revelations about radio intel in the Midway era make up a major portion of No Right to Win, especially in Chapter 4.  For more on Mac’s distinguished service during and after the war, click here
