A new section of this web site, Updates, provides holders of No Right to Win with an abundance of photographs and supplementary text. Periodic additions are posted whenever important new material becomes available.

The Friends of Midway Atoll continue to offer No Right to Win for purchase on Midway Atoll during annual commemorations of the battle. The 67th anniversary observance will be conducted there as usual in June.
9 May 2007
No Right to Win will be on sale on Midway Atoll during the commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the battle next month. The Friends of Midway Atoll, Inc. will be offering the book to tour groups attending the special anniversary events on Midway.
The book will also be available for purchase at the National Museum of the Pacific War (the Nimitz Museum) in Fredericksburg, Texas, during 65th anniversary proceedings there.

After extensive work with the publisher on further refinements to the manuscript, No Right to Win was finally delivered to the printer today. Advance copies are expected by mid-September, with general availability some time in October.

Final draft of the manuscript submitted to the publisher. The process to turn it into a finished book begins today. Expected availability is September-October 2006.

The past six months have been spent in fine-tuning the manuscript in response to reviews by various agents and publishers as well as other authors who have graciously offered their advice and assistance. A tentative arrangement is now pending with a publisher.

The original working title, Incredible Victors, has been replaced by its new title that you see above. The phrase is a portion of the Midway inscription at the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C., and it’s a quote from the foreword to Walter Lord’s Incredible Victory.

The manuscript is now complete and undergoing proofreading by an independent editor. A tentative agreement for publication and marketing has been reached with a literary agent.
